Epic Update 27/06/20

Updated: Jun 27

Event Scotland have launched an online survey for businesses who are part of the events and festivals sector supply chain in Scotland. This is part of a wider consultation about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on our organisations and will form an industry-wide approach to recovery. We will update as soon as the results come back.

Aimed at the Hospitality sector, the team at Manchester Night-Time Economy have built and shared a Resource Bank full of risk assessment checklists, helpful links and posters. These may be of use to your business or someone you know. Download at bit.ly/nte-resources

Thanks to Mercury Support and Engine No.4 on this.

Last week, the government guidelines on Hospitality have been published https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-tourism-and-hospitality-sector-guidance/ which is worth a look for anyone that delivers events via the hospitality sector. We eagerly await the Event Sectoral Guidance which should be with us soon, and we will share the guidance as soon as it is published.

Lastly, we have been working with the Night Time Industries Association https://www.ntia.co.uk on a simple format to allow individuals to send a letter, covering many of the challenges we face right now, to there constituent MSP. This link will be available from 29th June. We will contact you via email and ask you to please complete and share with colleagues.

Stay Safe,
